Zander Bice is an artist and illustrator with over 8 years of experience teaching art.
We are launching a brand new art school located in Southwest Berkeley, one block away from Berkeley Bowl West.
With Years of experience both working professionally and teaching art, Bice Art Academy is the place to go to learn how drawing works. Our philosophy is that before one can fully express themselves through art, they must learn the fundamentals. Learning how light and shadow work, perspective, color and more, we prepare students to make award winning art beyond levels they can imagine. Whether you are an absolute beginner, a polished artist developing a college portfolio, or a working professional looking to develop new skills, we are here for you.

Our Instructor
Zander Bice has been teaching art to all ages for over 8 years.
Zander is an award winning illustrator who has worked in a large variety of professional roles as an artist and illustrator. He has been drawing and painting his entire life. After receiving a BA in Psychology from UCLA, Zander studied illustration and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
Zander has exhibited his artwork in shows in galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. He has worked professionally as an in-house illustrator and designer at creative agencies, as a storyboard artist at Titmouse animation, as well as a freelance illustrator and designer, creating storyboards, published comic books, album art, musician logos, murals and more. He brings his knowledge and experience into the classroom to not only teach students the fundamentals but also see how a professional approaches art.
Aside from working professionally as an artist and illustrator, Zander has taught at Ichen Art Academy in Pleasanton, US Arts in San Diego, CodeREV at Stanford and Pasadena Art School in Los Angeles. He has taught all ages.
